Dr. Ramchand is currently the Co-founder and CSO of MagGenome Labs Pvt. Ltd, Chennai & Cochin and the CEO of Theragen Molecular Innovations Pvt. Ltd is a start-up biotech company in Chennai. He is a key Adviser to several companies including Scigenome labs, Medgenome Inc and also holds the position of Director at Theragen Lifesciences/Biologics, Thejo Engineering and Accel Limited, Chennai. He is an Honorary Visiting Professor to the European Nanotechnology consortium at the University of Newcastle, UK. He is also an adjunct faculty, Visiting Professor and PhD guide at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia along with Prof. Ajay Kapoor. Dr. Ramchand is currently also involved in development of extensive PhD programs for students in collaboration with Swinburne University and IIT Chennai through Scigenom labs, Cochin. Dr. Ramchand has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, edited 5 books, has around 15 patented products currently in the market and holds close to 60 granted/applied patents. Earlier, Dr. Ramchand was with Sun Pharmaceuticals, currently the largest Pharma company in India (as per ORG marg) as its Vice President and Head of Drug Discovery Research (Biological Research Program) (1999-2004). He was then the Director, at KEMIN Pharma, India (A subsidiary of Kemin Pharma Belgium BVBA) and was holding a simultaneous position as Director of Research and Development, Kemin Industries South Asia Pvt.
